At the time when Kong Hing was Lai Hung's Senior student (Si Hing) he took over the training of both Lacey brothers when Lai Hung was busy with other projects. This was a decision he took against his own father's will, due to the fact that Vince and Dave Lacey were not full blooded Chinese, and at a time when it was forbidden to teach Kung Fu to anyone who was not.
