| WE HAVE MOVED! |
|
|

|
Yes! The Melbourne Choy Lay Fut Buck Sing Gwoon has moved from the
original
Melbourne site to it's new home at the St.Kilda Police & Citizens
Youth Club, 179 Inkerman st, St.Kilda.
After many months of searching for a new site, we were able to secure
our current home, only half a block away from the old building. The
Youth Club, which has existed for over 50 years, has welcomed the
Buck Sing Gwoon into it's already busy center, which already boasted
other martial arts classes including Karate, Kick Boxing, Tai Kwon
Do, and now Chinese Kung Fu. What this means to our students is more
services and facilities. We are now part of a sports center that offers
4 Pool tables, 2 table tennis tables, undercover skate area with skateboards,
a full size Basketball court, a fully equipped gym and over 100 basketballs,
Volleyballs, Footballs and soccer Balls! gym has recently been updated
with new equipment, and is available to anyone, including non-Buck
Sing students! You don't need to be a member and they have discounts
for unemployed & students making it about 2 dollars - For use
of everything!
For the Melbourne Choy Lay Fut Buck Sing Gwoon, the move means we
now can offer more facilities that the old place didn't have. Apart
from the impressive plethora of equipment, our students now have the
use of showers,
a canteen and a newly built THAI BOXING RING fully equipped with training
equipment (bags, pads etc). Ring the center for info on 95347584

| Chan Heung Annerversary |
|
|
The founder of Choy Lay Fut, Grand Master Chan Hueng,
is remembered on his anniversary 20th August.
Check Celebrations in your local area. Most schools celebrate anniversarys
in their own particular way. If you are thinking of joining a Choy
Lay
Fut school for the first time, some schools use this day to present
their background and is a good time to go along and find out what
your target
school is all about. |
